I’ve always had a particular affinity for water. There’s just something about it that was always oddly attractive, in a way. Like a painting, every drop is like a peice of art, every glass like a collection of masterpeices, and every ocean like a museum.
At work, we have entire fridges dedicated to free bottles of water for the employees. They’re branded with the company logo, and despite being labeled as “Spring Water” taste much more like tap water. Regardless, i always walk in and pick up two bottles in the morning, and drink them slowly - it might take me the entire day, or just an hour, depending on how thirsty I am. I could spend hours just watching it swish and swirl around the bottle, only stopping to take the occasional sip.
I try to go to the beach a lot, but it doesen’t always work out. The closest beach is quite a ways a way, and the water is less than clear (but i like it no less). That water is fascinating to me for different reasons - the salty smell just brings back memories of when we used to vacation there when i was little. I remember almost drowning in the water once there. I don’t go that far into the water these days - just enough to let it wrap around my toes.
Showers tend to be longer than normal for me. I like to just stand and let the water pour down on me, like i’m in the rain. It wouldn’t be proper to stand in the rain with my clothes on, so I settle for the shower, I suppose.
